Lenticular filter housing

The lenticular filter housing finds application in the pre-filtration stage within the wine or beer industry. In contrast to plate and frame filters, lenticular filter housing offers the benefit of zero leakage (minimizing product loss) and complete enclosure.

Our lenticular filter housing, also known as stacked disc filter housing, is crafted to accommodate the widely used lenticular filter modules from Pall, CUNO, EATON BEGEROW, and SATORIOUS.The beer and wine lenticular filter housings are constructed using food-grade 316L (or 304) stainless steel. They feature a mirror-polished surface finish with Ra<0.4um (<20 Ra), and Electric Polish (EP) is available as an optional.

Common questions about Sanitek

Common Questions about SanitekWhat is the difference between PES and PVDF filter membranes?

The main difference lies in their chemical compatibility and filtration properties. PES (polyethersulfone) membranes offer excellent compatibility with a broad range of solvents, acids, and bases. They are known for their low protein binding and high flow rates.

PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) membranes, on the other hand, have superior chemical resistance, making them suitable for aggressive solvents and strong acids. PVDF membranes also provide high protein binding capacity, making them ideal for protein-based applications. The choice between PES and PVDF depends on the specific requirements of the filtration process, including chemical compatibility and protein retention needs.
