SANIpore® HS Capsule Filter

Capsule filters are a family of full-size capsule filters with a Staubli connection at the vent, which enables an in-line integrity test. The PES membrane bio-burden reduction capsule utilizes a single layer of hydrophilic polyethersulfone membrane. It offers broad chemical compatibility, high flow rate and low extractables.

Polyethersulfone is particularly suited for the filtration of products that contain substances that adsorb to the media. The lower binding characteristics of polyethersulfone make it a good choice for the filtration of valuable protein solutions such as vaccines and biologicals.

Common questions about Sanitek

Common Questions about SanitekWhat is Stery PES filter material?

Stery Asymmetrical PES Capsule Filters are 100% integrity tested,it is constructed of single layer hydrophilic asymmetric polyethersulfone membrane. It offers broad chemical compatibility, high flow rate and low extractables.

Common Questions about SanitekWhat are Stery PES filters used for?

Stery Polyethersulfone (PES) membrane capsule filters are highly suitable for filtration tasks involving substances that tend to adsorb to the filter media. The inherent lower binding characteristics of PES make it an excellent choice for the filtration of valuable protein solutions, including vaccines and biologicals. By minimizing protein adsorption,

Stery PES filters preserve the integrity and quality of these sensitive products, ensuring their efficacy and safety. The use of PES membrane capsule filters in such applications offers efficient filtration while maintaining the desired properties and functionality of the filtered substances.

Common Questions about SanitekWhat is the difference between Stery PS capsule filters and Ultrapure PS capsule filters?

Stery PES membrane bio-burden reduction capsule filters are specifically designed for reducing bioburden and microbial contamination, with a focus on critical applications such as pharmaceutical or biotechnology processes. These filters offer superior retention of microorganisms and ensure the highest level of product safety.

On the other hand, The main distinction lies in their filtration capabilities and intended uses. Ultrapure PES membrane capsule filters provide efficient filtration for a wide range of applications, offering high flow rates and retention of particles and microorganisms.

Common Questions about SanitekHow do you guarantee the quality of your filters?

All materials meet the specifications for biological safety per USP Class V1-121 C for plastics. Materials of construction comply with FDA regulations for food and beverage contact use as detailed in the US Code of Federal Regulations, 21CFR. Materials used to produce filter media and hardware are safe for use in contact with foodstuffs in accordance with EU Directives 10/2011.
