The Polymempure® PP1 element is a depth polypropylene membrane filter assembled using advanced thermal binding technology. It offers broad chemical compatibility, high dirt holding capacity with high flow rates at low-pressure drop, and low extractable.
They are ideally suited for clarification and pre-filtration before membrane filtration. Polymempure® PP1 is particularly suitable for the first pre-filtration step in the Food & Beverage industry.

The main difference lies in their chemical compatibility and filtration properties. PES (polyethersulfone) membranes offer excellent compatibility with a broad range of solvents, acids, and bases. They are known for their low protein binding and high flow rates.
PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) membranes, on the other hand, have superior chemical resistance, making them suitable for aggressive solvents and strong acids. PVDF membranes also provide high protein binding capacity, making them ideal for protein-based applications. The choice between PES and PVDF depends on the specific requirements of the filtration process, including chemical compatibility and protein retention needs.
