SANIendo® NS

Nylon Membrane with Positive-charged Zeta particles and PES membrane

SANIendo® NS filter cartridges are composed of a modified Nylon membrane with positive-charged zeta particles and PES membrane. This specially designed filter allows for negative-charged particles and endotoxins to be absorbed, even particles smaller than the filter removal rating.

The positive charge removes negatively charged biological contaminants such as endotoxin, viruses and other cell fragments. Due to its high endotoxin removal efficiency which is 99.99%, the SANIendo® NS cartridge filter as an excellent choice for pharmaceutical and bio-processing applications.

Common questions about Sanitek

Common Questions about SanitekWhat is the difference between PES and PVDF filter membranes?

The main difference lies in their chemical compatibility and filtration properties. PES (polyethersulfone) membranes offer excellent compatibility with a broad range of solvents, acids, and bases. They are known for their low protein binding and high flow rates.

PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) membranes, on the other hand, have superior chemical resistance, making them suitable for aggressive solvents and strong acids. PVDF membranes also provide high protein binding capacity, making them ideal for protein-based applications. The choice between PES and PVDF depends on the specific requirements of the filtration process, including chemical compatibility and protein retention needs.
