PTFE Membrane and PFA Cage, Core, Caps and Supports
SANIpore® PFA filter cartridges are composed of an expanded Polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE) membrane and PFA cage, core, caps and support. Superior pleated PTFE membrane filters with PFA support for chemical inertness across a broad range of wafer bumping and microelectronics process chemical applications.
High-purity application filters manufactured in a clean room environment. Fast rinse-up time as filters have been pre-flushed with Ultrapure DI water (18.2 Megaohm-cm, TOC less than 10ppb).

The main difference lies in their chemical compatibility and filtration properties. PES (polyethersulfone) membranes offer excellent compatibility with a broad range of solvents, acids, and bases. They are known for their low protein binding and high flow rates.
PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) membranes, on the other hand, have superior chemical resistance, making them suitable for aggressive solvents and strong acids. PVDF membranes also provide high protein binding capacity, making them ideal for protein-based applications. The choice between PES and PVDF depends on the specific requirements of the filtration process, including chemical compatibility and protein retention needs.
