Polymempore® DS|HT

High-Temperature Resistant Sterilizing Grade Filter

Polymempore® DS|HT filters are bacterial retention cartridge filters and are the first choice in the high-temperature industry because they can be used for high-temperature liquids up to 203℉.

Considering the reduced replacement cost for our customers, Polymempore® DS|HT filters have a long service life because they consist of two layers of polyethersulfone (PES)membrane for filtration, which retains a large number of bacteria and other particles in the pre-filter.

The Polymempore® DS|HT provides various configurations including cartridges and capsule filters. Bioburden prefilter pore sizes range from 0.10 to 1.2 µm. Final filter pore sizes range from 0.03 to 0.65 µm.

Common questions about Sanitek

Common Questions about SanitekWhat is the difference between PES and PVDF filter membranes?

The main difference lies in their chemical compatibility and filtration properties. PES (polyethersulfone) membranes offer excellent compatibility with a broad range of solvents, acids, and bases. They are known for their low protein binding and high flow rates.

PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) membranes, on the other hand, have superior chemical resistance, making them suitable for aggressive solvents and strong acids. PVDF membranes also provide high protein binding capacity, making them ideal for protein-based applications. The choice between PES and PVDF depends on the specific requirements of the filtration process, including chemical compatibility and protein retention needs.
