Polymempore® HS

Sterilizing and Mycoplasma Removing Filter

Polymempore® HS Filter Cartridges have a unique membrane arrangement of single-layer asymmetric hydrophilic PES membrane. This folding filter has the characteristics of ultra-low protein adsorption, dissolution/precipitation level, uniform pore size distribution, excellent bacterial retention ability, and excellent initial flux.

This makes it the ideal filter to ensure bio-burden and small particle removal in a wide range of food & beverage, biological liquids, and intermediate bulk pharmaceutical fluids.

Polymempore® HS 0.1 μm rated filter cartridges are specially developed for validated sterile filtration and reliable mycoplasma removal from any media.

Common questions about Sanitek

Common Questions about SanitekWhat is the difference between PES and PVDF filter membranes?

The main difference lies in their chemical compatibility and filtration properties. PES (polyethersulfone) membranes offer excellent compatibility with a broad range of solvents, acids, and bases. They are known for their low protein binding and high flow rates.

PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride) membranes, on the other hand, have superior chemical resistance, making them suitable for aggressive solvents and strong acids. PVDF membranes also provide high protein binding capacity, making them ideal for protein-based applications. The choice between PES and PVDF depends on the specific requirements of the filtration process, including chemical compatibility and protein retention needs.
